Our goal at Stallings Elementary is to have as much parent volunteer participation as possible! To help us accomplish this goal, please read the following:

The parent and community volunteers who are willing and able to assist in a school do make a very significant contribution! Union County Public School Board of Education policies govern the work of volunteers in the schools and the screening process to be utilized. These policies are UCPS BOE Policy 3-29 Screening of School Volunteers and UCPS Volunteer Program Administrative Guidelines.

Volunteer Coordination

Our PTO has taken on the role of soliciting and coordinating all volunteers in the school. Some PTO committees are recruiting volunteers to help out in the Health Room, the Media Center, in the office area, etc.

Of course, teachers are always in need of assistance in the classroom with one task or another. Classroom volunteers are coordinated by the Room Parents for the school.

New Volunteers

Parents or community members who have never registered to volunteer with UCPS should request an Application for Volunteer Services. This form is available in the Main Office of our school.

Please complete and return the form to our school or mail it to us at:

Stallings Elementary School- Volunteer Info

3501 Stallings Road

Stallings, NC 28104

This application will be forwarded to the UCPS Human Resources Department for processing. The volunteer level you are applying for will determine the length of time to process the application. Level 3 and Level 4 volunteers will take the longest to process due to the level of access these volunteers are requesting around the school's students.

Questions?

If you have any questions about the volunteer application process, please feel free to contact us at Stallings Elementary with your inquiries.
